The only complication is that it's actually our neighbouring parish who have agreed to make their allotments available to our residents, do you think I should raise it with my parish or the allotment owing parish?Traceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05534626082405777284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-295421286576646745.post-81666602440895010092010-02-11T21:58:22.513+00:002010-02-11T21:58:22.513+00:00Tracey, if it your parish council, then find out w...Tracey, if it your parish council, then find out when their parish council meeting is - my parish council (being a parish councillor myself) allows ten minutes public participation when attendees can raise issues but if yours does not allocate public participation time, asked for it to be added to the agenda.

You cannot be the only person interested in the allotments - at the very least, they should create a waiting list, so should they become available, those like yourself who expressed an interest earlier on, get preferential treatment over anyone who gets interest at the time they become available.

If you feel the parish clerk is stone-walling you, find out who your parish councillors are, and raise it with one of them....they will all live in (or within 3 miles of) the parish, so one is bound to be near to where you are located in the parish.

Be persistent - the parish councillors are there to represent the parishioners.Mike Blakenoreply@blogger.com
